Obituary of David Zeligman

David Joseph Zeligman, 77, of State College, died Tuesday, April 2, 2013, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born April 5, 1935, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Samuel and Anna Kaplan Zeligman. He married Sarah L. Young, who preceded him in death on December 21, 1992. He is survived by two daughters, Melissa Beth Zeligman of Arlington, VA., and Dawn Michele Zeligman and her partner, Angela, of Indiana; one brother, Mark Zeligman; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and two grand-cats. He served in the United States Army. David came to State College in the early 1970's and immediately started his business, Appliance World, an appliance repair shop, which he maintained until his death. David wants to thank his customers, friends, and acquaintances that he served throughout his time in State College. He was an active member of the Centre Region Senior Center. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Centre Region Senior Center, 131 South Fraser Street, State College, PA 16801.
