Obituary of Dolores Hook

Dolores Margaret Hook, 87, of Philipsburg, formerly of Boalsburg, died Wednesday, April 17, 2013, at Windy Hill Village in Philipsburg. Born August 1, 1925, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Ruppert and Dolores Margaret Gable Smith. On August 31, 1947, she married Paul Elwood Hook, who preceded her in death in on May 3, 2002. She is survived by four children, Dolores M. Gheen and her husband, Dick, of Morrisdale, Michael L. Hook and his wife, Cheryl, of Chambersburg, David M. Hook and his wife, Debbie, of Bensalem, Dan E. Hook and his wife, Janet L., of Philipsburg; daughter in law, Kathie Hook of New Cumberland; two sisters, Winifred Kucas of Fayetteville, N. C., Lois Lutz and her husband, Paul, of Boalsburg; one brother, Earl Smith and his wife, Betty, of Lemont; six grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Along with her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, Patrick D. Hook and Alan R. Hook, one brother, Kenneth Smith and one grandson, Douglas Marcum. Dolores worked in the cafeteria at the Boalsburg Elementary and Panorama Village Elementary Schools. She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Church. Visitation will be 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Our Lady of Victory Church, 820 Westerly Parkway, State College, with the Monsignor David Lockard officiating.
