Obituary of Frances Pajak

Frances V. Pajak, 89, passed away peacefully at Wynwood House in Centre Hall, PA on June 12, 2013. She was born on April 25, 1924 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of William and Stella (Furcz) Gniazdowski. Her father died when she was 10 years old and she relocated to Bayonne, NJ. Her mother eventually remarried and she became the step-daughter of Stanley Siekierski. She has lived most of her life in Bayonne. She was an active member of O.L. of Mt. Carmel parish and was involved with many of the groups and committees within the church. Frances loved to attend card parties, Bingo, Broadway shows and to spend time with family playing cards and board games. She graduated from Bayonne High School in 1941. She married Stanley J. Pajak in 1946 and was married 61 years until his death in November 2007. She has spent much of the last few years of her life in State College, PA with her daughter. A kind and caring person she will be lovingly remembered by her children, Stanley (Buddy) Pajak and his wife, Rose of Stoystown, PA (formerly of Bayonne), Dolores Menapace and her husband, Leon Menapace, and granddaughter, Jenna of State College, PA as well as many nieces and nephews and her sisters-in-law. Besides her husband, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Stanley Gniazdowski, her step-sister, Theresa Skalski and her step-brother, Walter Siekierski. Visitation will be on Friday, June 14 from 6 PM to 8 PM at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, PA. and funeral services will be on Saturday, June 15 at 11 AM at the Church of the Good Shepherd, 867 Grays Woods Blvd, State College, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, one of Frances' favorite charities.
