Obituary of Dolores Rudy

Dolores A. Rudy, 78, of Boalsburg, died Thursday, July 4, 2013, at her residence. Born May 7, 1935, in Bellefonte, she was the daughter of the late William H. and Virginia Bailey Callahan. On June 4, 1955, she married Myron F. Rudy, who survives. Also surviving are two children, Kathryn M. Putt of Lemont and Thomas M. Rudy of Boalsburg; one grandson, Michael B. Rudy of Centre Hall. She was a 1954 graduate of State College High School. Dolores retired from Raytheon in 1994 where she was a bookkeeper for 18 years. Prior to that she was employed at Harpster Chevrolet and Penn State University. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Dolores delighted in helping others and spending time with her family and her Amish grandchildren. She enjoyed attending auctions, and the outdoors, especially fishing, camping and gardening. Visitation will be 6 until 9 p.m., on Sunday, July 7, 2013 and 10 until 11 a.m., on Monday, July 8, 2013, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., at the funeral home, with the Reverend Brent Book officiating. Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery.
