Obituary of Beverly Kubin

Beverly J. Kubin, 72, passed away on Friday morning, August 9, 2013 in her home in Port Matilda, PA, surrounded by her family. She was born September 6, 1940, in Chicago, IL, a daughter of the late George W. Bartuska and Vilma Vendl. She is survived by her brother, George Bartuska and his wife Susan, of Wellford, SC. Beverly was married to William James Kubin, who survives, on April 15, 1961 at the St. Francis of Rome Parish in Cicero, IL. She is also survived by her four children: Linda and her husband Paul of Countryside, IL, Lisa and her husband Joseph of Peabody, MA, Christine of South Kingstown, RI, Robert and his wife Sharon of Northampton, MA as well as four grandchildren Kristen, Joseph, Alexandria and Jared. While living in the State College area for the last 20 years, Beverly worked as an insurance agent for the David T. Byron Insurance Agency. She was an avid gardener and animal lover. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, antique shopping and reading mystery novels. Beverly will be lovingly remembered as a devoted wife and mother who was the heart of the family.
