Obituary of June Klinger

June R. Klinger, 91, of State College, died Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at her daughter's home in State College. Born June 24, 1922, in Mt. Carmel, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Helen Bensinger Sherman. On December 16, 1943, she married Lt. Col. William L. Klinger, who preceded her in death on April 2, 2009. She is survived by a daughter, Sandra K. Meyer, of State College and two grandchildren; Kelly Carinci of Twinsburg, OH, and Geoff Meyer of Boone, NC, and four great-gradchildren: Jake Carinci, Aidan Meyer, Zack Carinci, and Addison Meyer. Along with her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by her two sisters, Anne Sherman Hauck and Lorraine Sherman Flanagan. She was a 1941 graduate of Mt. Carmel High School. She was a homemaker all her life. She enjoyed crocheting, watching game shows, and being with her grand and great-grandchildren. There will be no public visitation.
