Obituary of Geraldine Syrett

Geraldine "Gerry" Syrett, 82, died March 6, 2011 at The Terrace at Brookline in State College, Pa. Born in Springfield, Mass., she married Richard C. Syrett on October 16, 1948. They were married until his death in January 2001. She was a resident of Bristol, Conn. from 1956 until 2005, when she moved to central Pennsylvania. During her time in Bristol she was a member of First Congregational Church and its Women's Guild. She raised two sons, Frederick R. Syrett, who died in 1971, and William J. Syrett of Boalsburg, Pa. She is also survived by her daughter-in-law, Leslie Laskos Syrett and two grandchildren, Camille M. and Douglas F. Syrett and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Thursday, March 10, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College, Pa. Services will be held at First Congregational Church, 31 Maple St., Bristol, Conn. Burial will follow the service at West Cemetery in Bristol.
