Obituary of Clara Robison
Clara L. "Pat" Robison , 90, of State College, died Saturday, December 28, 2013, at the Fairways at Brookline Village, State College.
Born December 23, 1923, in Williamsport, she was the daughter of the late Howard J. and Muriel Bird Lamade. On June 11, 1949 she married D. Ronald L. Robison who preceded her in death on August 8, 1995.
She is survived by two sons, John F. Robison and his wife Margaret, of State College and Terry L. Robison and his wife, Amanda, of Avon Lake, OH; one step-daughter, Joan R. Astle and her husband, Thomas W., of Orange, CT.; one brother, Howard J. Lamade Jr. and his wife, Ruth, of Williamsport; six grandchildren, three step-grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was a graduate of Williamsport High School. She graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education from the Pennsylvania State University, where, because of the World War II, she was one of the few women to play in the Blue Band at that time.
Pat was a member of the State College Presbyterian Church. She was also a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority, the State College Choral Society, she served on the Steering Committee and Board of the Museum of Art at Penn State University and the Steering Committee and Board of the Art Alliance of Central Pennsylvania. She was a generous supporter of the Pennsylvania Centre Orchestra, Little League Baseball, WPSU, and Penn State.
Memorial service will be private at the convenience of the family.
Burial will be in Centre County Community Park.
