My heart goes out to Janet and her family for the loss of a woman who we fondly call EP!. EP was my advisor, coach and friend. She left her legacy in so many areas in athletics, and was a true pioneer for woman in sports. Her spirit, laughter and enthusiasm to help others in her path is what I will miss. I am forever grateful for her encouragement in my olympic and professional pursuits. And most importantly, l feel honored to call her my friend.

My deepest sympathy to Janet and all of Ellen's family. Ellen's warm hearted, humorous manner will always be remembered. As my swim coach she demonstrated fairness and the joy found in a team effort. Ellen's efforts to establish equal rights for women athletes at Penn State existed in the mid 70's and were a valuable lesson. I am grateful for all of her positive encouragement over the years. She will be greatly missed.

Ellen was such a positive force in the lives of friends, athletes and the entire Sports Programs. Her sense of humor, encouragement and helpful ideas helped more people than we'll ever know. May Ellen rest in peace (but still fighting for and supporting women's athletics).

To Janet and Ellen's family, please accept my deepest sympathy at the recent loss of Ellen.
I didn't realize all her efforts at furthering women athletes as my college years ended in 1971. However, she definitely made an impact in my life - both sports(lacrosse) and personally.
I was saddened to hear of her passing.

We got to know Ellen through my sister Maryann Domitrovitz (Dimmy). We enjoyed the times we spent with her especially at the football games. She was a good person and fun to be with and someone you could always count on to help her friends when they needed her.
If it is at all possible, I wouldn't put it passed her to be organizing some sort of women's sports in heaven.
She will be missed by all. She is now at peace.
Our deepest sympathies to Jan and Ellen's family.

Ellen's Obituary reads like a Who's Who in Women's College Administration, having done more good for Women's Athletics than most of us combined. I worked with Ellen as her assistant Swim Coach from 1970-1973. She was always gracious, funny, and generous with her time and talent. Those were some interesting times for Women's Athletics, and Ellen was the right person at the right time in the right place to influence the future of so many women athletes. Godspeed, we will miss you.

Heaven has called home one of the most influential people in my life! I'm glad I had the recent honor to express my appreciation for your very special talents as an educator/coach, mentor, and role model to me; and funny that you ended up in my hometown and I in yours! I always think of you with great admiration, appreciation and respect, Miss Perry. Deepest condolences to Miss Atwood and your family in Reading.

Ellen was a light and an inspiration to so many. I will always treasure the times I was able to spend with her on the road covering Women's Basketball. She was an amazing role model and teacher who led by example. I am going to miss the hugs from her on the way into Beaver Stadium as I get ready to announce. My love and sympathies to Jan and Ellen's family and friends.
