Obituary of D. Reish
D. Korman Reish, 95, of Hollidaysburg, formerly of Boalsburg, died Tuesday, March 11, 2014, at the Lutheran Home at Hollidaysburg.
Born February 7, 1919, in Oak Hall, College Township, he was the son of the late Frank E. and Mary Korman Reish. On June 20, 1942, he married Dorothea E. Noll who survives.
Also surviving is one daughter, Nancy B. Parko and her husband, Larry, of Pleasant Gap; one brother, Paul L. Reish and his wife, Norma, of Lock Haven; one sister, Virginia Miller of Bellefonte; two granddaughters, Christina Parko and Joy Routheaux. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Russell and Ralph Reish and one sister, Charlotte Reish.
He was a graduate of the Harris Township High School. Korman attended Penn State University. He served in the United States Army during World War II.
Korman was a service technician for Sears, retiring in 1983 after 28 and a half years of service.
He was a member of the St. Johns United Church of Christ. He was also a life member of the BPOE Elks Lodge 1600 of State College, the IOOF and a member of the Centre Squares Dance Club.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m., on Friday, March 14, 2014, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College, with the Pastor Monica Ouellette officiating.
Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
