Dear Gwen was our lovely and charming neighbor in State College at the Way Townhouses for several years before we moved to Texas. I was sitting here thinking of her upcoming birthday and regretting our spotty correspondence when I was moved to look her up online. I am so sorry to learn of her passing. She used to sit on her deck and chit chat with my small boys as they played and rode their tricycles around the paths at the townhouses. We shared a mutual admiration for the music of Leroy Anderson, and her smile when hearing or seeing something she loved was one of the most infectious and beautiful things in the world. I cherish her memory and offer you my most sincere (though apologetically belated) condolences for her loss.
