She was a wonderful next-door second Mother to me and my sisters (Mimi Nieman Bloch, Dede Nieman Rothenberg, and Vicki Nieman Alterwitz) as well as to all her other nieces and nephews (including Rich Kalin and Lewis Steinberg who still live in State College). We all loved her dearly. As she is the last Kalin of her generation, this is an extremely sad moment. But she helped to make us all strong and we will carry her memory, and model of wisdom, coursge, and love with us always. She touched the life of so many --including her great and great-great nephews and nieces. Thank you Aunt Margot, and love and great sympathy to my cousins Ned, Mindy, and Leslie and to her grandsons Scott and Marc.
