Obituary of Constance Martin

Constance F. Martin, 82, of Port Matilda, died Friday, May 2, 2014, at Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, State College. Born June 29, 1931, in Philadelphia, she was the daughter of the late Walter O. and Estelle Warkomski Roe. On January 5, 1950 she married Robert James Martin. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, many nieces and nephews, and numerous very good friends. She was a 1949 graduate of Hallahan Catholic High School. She was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church in State College. She enjoyed hobbies including painting, sewing, gardening, and loved animals. As an avid classical pianist, she had the privilege of meeting and playing with piano virtuoso Liberace at his home in Las Vegas. She and her husband traveled all over the world together. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Good Shepherd Catholic Church, State College. Interment will be private.
