We were so saddened to hear of Gloria's passing. She will be missed by so many. We will always remember how welcoming she was to us as a young married couple first moving into State College. She was a wonderful lady.
Dolores, thanks for your call, we appreciate that you kept us informed.
Wish we could have made it to the memorial but job restraints would not allow.
Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. Gloria will always be in our memory.

Dear Joe, Hannah, and Dolores,
My heart is heavy for you at this time. It is a difficult time that will become better as each day passes. Your tears will turn into smiles as the memories live on. This I know from experience. I am confident that Gloria has already met up with Mike and they are laughing whole heartedly while they fish in the phenomenal waters with the most vibrant colors of trout. They are with God in eternity. We can be sure of that. We will be with them again but we still have things to accomplish.
Please don't hesitate to reach out to all of us when you feel the loneliness .
I am proud to have teamed with her as a fellow Fly Girls. She was simply awesome.

We were deeply saddened to learn that Gloria had passed away. I remember sticky buns and coffee at
the Humphreys kitchen table, numerous personal and
distant phone conversations, the twinkle in Gloria's eye and her gentle smile. My life has been enriched by knowing her and being able to count her among my friends.
When I last saw Gloria at Joe's Fly Fishing Hall
of Fame induction I did not realize that would be our
last visit. I know she will be missed by her family and
her numerous friends. I will certainly miss her but I
will remember and cherish our friendship. We shall
all retain our memories of Gloria and I suppose, in
final analysis, that is what we cling to because that is
all that remains.

I remember as a little girl a story that my father told me about Mrs. Humphreys. He worked for Bell Telephone as a cable splicer. My father had been called out to work near their home and it was a bitter cold night. Mrs Humphreys was making Christmas cookies and came out and asked my father to come in and have coffee and cookies! I never forgot that story and we recently talked about it when driving near their home. Thank you Mrs Humphreys for thinking of my dad that cold night! Peace to all.....

My dear Dolores, Hanna, Mr. Humphreys and Andy,
I am so terribly sorry for your loss. Mrs. Humphreys, the name I always called Gloria, was such a delight and joy. I know my mother particularly enjoyed talking with her over the years at softball games and track meets. She brought an energy and brightness to all those she surrounded. I always felt special after talking with her. Please know you are all in my thoughts. This is a tremendous loss. The world feels a bit less bright without her presence. I send you my deepest sympathies.
