Emma and family,
all of you are in my prayers during this very tough time. I learned so much working under Ernie at MBNA as well as all the lessons and advice he shared with me as I transitioned to the Warrant Officer Corp, a deployment to Iraq, and then to being a father. Thank you for sharing him with the rest of us!

Everyone loved Ernie! He was the best story teller. He was devoted to the love of his life, Emma. Anyone who ran across his path became a better person.
No doubt, Dave Garayoa was waiting for him with a cold beer.

My condolences to Emma and the Neill family. I will never forget the day I moved to State College with MBNA for my first job and Ernie promised my Dad to watch out for me while I was far from home. Of course he did just that and always demonstrated such an amazing combination of strength, integrity and humor. I wish the family peace during this time and gratitude to you for sharing Ernie with us.

Noontime battles with Ernie and Tom Dolan on the Penn State handball courts will be forever cherished. I'll never forget the day we played cutthroat, and I blasted a back-wall kill shot past both. Ernie observed, "I guess it doesn't take legs to play this sport." (I am about half his size.)
We were Park Forest Village neighbors for some time, and he wanted to pitch horseshoes. He got his revenge.
I am sorry that he left us. Condolences to the family.

My deepest sympathies to Emma and the family. I worked with Ernie at the bank for years and he was a man of honor and true character. I remember when I was pregnant with my first child and had to leave work and rush to the hospital with a scare...and there came Ernie to check on me. Ill never forget his caring nature, words for Wisdom and amazing life stories. He will always be remembered.

We are saddened to hear of Ernie's passing. As friends and neighbors during your time in Williamsport,it comes as no surprise that so many people valued Ernie and the whole family as "quality folks". Jewel still repeats her first conversation with Emma When she said "We both have a bunch of girls".Our condolences and best wishes to Emma and the entire family.

Ernie was my supervisor with the FBI in State College, my friend, and my mentor. He taught me to be a real agent of the FBI, not what was taught in training school and I loved him very much. He was a great man and blessed my life beyond measure. My family was his family and we will all miss him ever so much. Blessings to the family at this difficult time.

I am deeply sadened to learn of Ernie's passing. I have such fond memories of him while I worked with him at MBNA - and he always made me smile and comfortable as a young woman entering the workforce. And could he tell a story and make me laugh - the best ones were the ones that involved Dave. I will keep him in my prayers. You are truly a lucky family to have had him in your lives as long as you did. God Bless Ernie.

Dana, what an incredible man your father was. Reading the line in his obituary, that the greatest gift he could have given to his daughters was to love their mother, touched me deeply and told me more about the kind of man he was then anything else. You, your mom and sisters were truly blessed to have had this extraordinary man as a husband and father. God bless you all and may his spirit live on in each of your lives. Jeanne Cocolin
