Obituary of Ellen Fye

Ellen Frank Fye, 89, of Bellefonte, formerly of Florida, died Sunday, August 3, 2014 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College. Born November 6, 1924 in Pine Grove Mills, she was the daughter of Jacob Basil and Bertha Ellenberger Frank. She married Harry Fye on November 13, 1945, who preceded her in death in March 1995. She is survived by a daughter, Janette Meyer and her husband Charlie, of Lemont, a sister, Mary Waltz, of Shingletown, a brother, Edward Frank, of Aliquippa, one grandchild, three great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by four siblings, Mae, Bertha, Basil and John Frank. Ellen enjoyed playing bingo and eating out at restaurants. She loved her friends at Centre Crest and Mount Nittany Residences and was thrilled to have found her daughter, Janette, after 53 years. She was employed with Walmart in Verra Beach, Florida for forty years. Ellen was a member of Pine Grove Mills Presbyterian Church. Services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Spring Creek Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Centre Crest Nursing Home, 502 E. Howard St., Bellefonte, PA 16823.
