My PSU years were so special because of our working relationship. We had many wonderful talks and a great office to office work environment. I was so happy to bump in to her at a soccer dinner last Fall. We retired the same year and had only sporatic contact. She was a great working "friend". My thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Nancy, I remember hearing lots about and meeting your mom when you and I worked together at Patton Twp. What a kind, loving soul and family pillar. God bless you all during this sad time and in days ahead. Continue her legacy as a "rock" for your family.

Miss Ross as I remember her at Captain Jack was a lovely teacher that I truly looked up to. I ended up in Business Education at Shippensburg and knew I wanted to be like her. I wish that I had known she was in State College as I would have loved to have seen her. She was a wonderful role model to me.

We weren't lucky enough to know our new neighbor, Nancy, for more than a few months, hut we'll smile when we recall those nice, quiet conversations with her, on sunny days this past summer, conversations about nothing very important-- and yet they were memorable. A gentle, good person.
Our thoughts are with Ralph, and the Long family and friends.

During the time I served as Executive Director of the Centre Communities Chapter of the American Red Cross, I had the great privilege of working with Nancy. She was a professional, compassionate, and committed volunteer, and a valued member of our little team. We all loved Thursdays when Nancy came to help us. Not only did she make our jobs easier, she also brought a special joy into our lives. I send my deepest sympathy to her family and my thanks for sharing Nancy with us.

To the Family of Nancy Long,
I can not express my sorrow. Nancy was absolutely one person I could never forget. I worked for her when she was Director of Gifts and Endowments at Penn State. Nancy was such a fair, kind and wonderful boss. I learned so much while working for her. She truly is a gracious wonderful woman and I will never forget all I learned while working with her. She was a true blessing to me---God bless

On Sept. 12, 2001, Nancy came to the Red Cross to volunteer and stayed for more than 10 years. Not only was Nancy a wonderful & dedicated volunteer, but she became a good friend. I think of her often especially when I'm out in the garden. Years ago I gave her a hosta that she named "Ruth" - that always made me chuckle. I will miss her immensely. My deepest sympathy to her family.

To all of the Loving Family of Nancy,
Words can't express how sad I am over the loss of such a caring and beautiful woman. It seems unbelievable that someone so strong had to endure an illness such as hers. She is truly an example of what it means to be a woman, and she's left her legacy in her daughters and grandchildren. Love you all-
Sherri, Frank, Mia and Sam
