My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this difficult time. John was always a bright spot in my day when I went to the Snack Bar at the hospital to get my iced tea. I enjoyed many conversations with him and he always called me his "favorite customer." He will be sorely missed!

I remember John well from his work at MNMC. I also had wonderful times with him when I taught the men's brotherhood class. My sympathies to everyone. John was a real gentleman.

Dear Family, it is with deep sadness that I've read Mr. Hoke's obituary. I used to work at the veterinary hospital where he & Betty would bring their beloved Bichon. He was a wonderful, kind, caring man and I'm glad that I got to know him over the years. I always made a point to stop in to say hi when I would see him working in the snack bar at the hospital. Thinking of you during your time of loss.

Dear Nancy and Joe & Jim and Kathy,
Anytime I think of "Mr. Hoke," one word always comes to mind, "gentleman." Your Dad was the epitome of a gentleman. He was so dear and so witty and had a knack for putting a smile on everyone's face. His gentle, quiet manner will be dearly missed as he was never thought of as a "customer," but simply as "our friend." Mr. Hoke made his love of family very evident as he spoke often of his kids and always looked forward to visits from Nancy and to the daily game of Sudoku, via phone, with Jim. Please know that you are all very much in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time and the entire CVS staff is here if there is anything you need.
Rest easy Mr. Hoke and know that you will be sorely missed by many.
