Obituary of Jerry DeFranco

Jerry DeFranco, 54, of State College died Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at home with his loving wife at his side. Born February 23, 1960, in Bayonne, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Raymond and Mary Castelluzzo DeFranco. On June 4, 2010, he married Mandy Felmlee, who survives at home. In addition to his wife, he is survived by one sister, Maryann Kuechler of Secaucus, New Jersey; two nephews, Jason and Michael; one great-nephew, Seth and three great-nieces, Isabella, Emma and Liliana. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother in-law, Daniel Kuechler. Jerry was a 1978 graduate of Secaucus High School. He was employed by Federal Carbide in Tyrone for over 35 years as a Tool and Die Maker. Jerry was an avid Harley rider and enjoyed Bike Night at Quaker Steak & Lube and Damon's Grill. He loved and displayed his Team Unbreakable tattoo. Jerry was a devoted family man. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 p.m., on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Friday, September 26, 2014 at the funeral home, with the Pastor Knoll Meyers officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Centre County PAWS, 1401 Trout Rd, State College, PA 16801 or to Free To Breathe, 1 Point Place, Suite 200 - Madison, WI 53719.
