Obituary of Dominick Dinunzio
Dominick M. Dinunzio, 84, of State College, died Tuesday, November 4, 2014 at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Born February 9, 1930, in Irvington, New York, he was the son of the late Matthew and Rose Lupi Dinunzio. On November 7, 1953 he married Helen M. Borsuk who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Richard M. Dinunzio and his fiancé, Patti, of Knightdale, NC and Robert J. Dinunzio and his wife, Karen, of State College; three sisters, Virginia Ruffler of Purdys, NY, Betty Yurkovic of Sleepy Hollow, NY and Lucy Coutant of Ossining, NY; four grandchildren, Emily, Amanda, Matthew and Christian Dinunzio. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Joseph and James Dinunzio.
Dominick was a 1949 graduate of Irvington High School, NY, where he was a standout athlete. He served in the United States Army as a Private First Class during the Korean Conflict.
He retired after thirty years of service as the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor for Xerox Corporation in Blauvelt, NY.
Dominick was a member of Our Lady of Victory.
He was an avid fan of Penn State Athletics, namely field hockey. He also enjoyed golfing, NY Giants football, going to the casinos and most importantly spending time with his family at the beach.
Visitation will be 5 until 8 p.m., on Friday, November 7, 2014 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at Our Lady of Victory, 820 Westerly Pkwy, State College with the Reverend Neil Dadey officiating.
Burial will be in Pine Hall cemetery.
