Each Christmas Eve we drove by the 12 Days of Christmas and sang! She brought joy and delight to so many. I am sure the saints who have gone on before welcomed her with open arms! So sorry for your loss. - Maureen's friend Susan Hofstra

Dear Dr. Gerhold and Family,
I can't begin to express to you all my deepest sympathies at the loss of this wonderful, loving and caring, classy lady. My memories have now become cherished treasures to hold in my heart forever.
My heart is filled with much sadness, but also much joy as I know Marilyn is now reaping her heavenly rewards and the celebration of her arrival through those pearly gates must be a site to behold.
May the love of family and friends help to bring you comfort and strength. I pray for God's loving arms to surround you and carry you through today and the days ahead.
Rest in peace beautiful lady.

I think I spent as much time at that Sparks Street house as I did mine, when I was a small child. "Mrs Gerhold" as she'll always be in my mind, was an inspiring, creative mother and home maker. She made me feel welcome and comfortable when I was there.
My condolences to the family and my very first and always dear friend Maureen.
