Julie:
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I just found out today and was saddened to hear about it. Rich was a special man and a dear friend. He was always so kind to me and to all his many friends. I wish I had known he was sick and could have seen him before he died. After we moved away from State College in 2012, Ann and I lost touch with just about everyone there. I hope you and your daughter are doing okay. You have my deepest sympathy.

I'm not sure what made me think of Rich but I did an internet search and was saddened to hear he had passed. i worked for Rich while I was an engineering student at PSU from 1988-1990; repairing washers and dryers at his shop. I thoroughly enjoyed working for him. He always had good stories and his love of engineering and hands-on working impacted me as I am now into my 23rd year of a rewarding engineering career. My prayers go out to his daughters and family.

Dear Family,
I am sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you. I very much enjoyed working with Rich at the PSU games and I only got to know him well last year. i wish I knew him longer. I will always remember his dry humor and corny jokes that brought a smile to my face. He will be missed.

My caring thoughts go out to Rich's wife and daughters. Rich fixed appliances in my apartments for many years. He was the best. There was nothing he couldn't fix. And he always had a joke or some important advice to give after the repair. I will miss him.
