I am so sorry for your loss, but happy for your memories.
I was Don's Jack and Jill Nursery School teacher when he was five years old. He was the most beautiful child, quiet and bright. I knew he was a winner then.
Later,he and my son, Kraig, became friends...participating in many activities and experiences together throughout high school years.
Year's later he became a neighborhood angel who lived at the end of our street.
Don was a special person who touched our lives in a unique and powerful way.
My heart and prayers are with you all.

Very saddened to hear of Don's passing. Don was a special friend in school. I have many fond memories of times and laughs we shared together - driving to school, scouts, band, out on the town, and of course Don's way with electronic gadgetry. May God's love provide you with comfort and peace and his memory fill your hearts.

Things I'll miss about Don:
- having Margaritas with Don
- sharing recipes for meat on the grill
- going to the Sotia Gun Range when we're supposed to be working
- discussing politics
- including he and Susan in our family celebrations
- exchanging favors (I'm way behind)
- talking about Jeep projects that never started
- learning electronics from him
- having him stop by or drive by to check on Kelley when he knew I was out of town
- eating chili together for Daytona in February
- stopping at JR's for each other
- talking history
Our whole family will miss him and miss him now.
Don sr., Susan, David, et al., our condolences and please call on us for anything. It is a loss for everyone who he came in contact with.

We were so sad to read about Don's passing. Our hearts go out to the family. He was a special person with many talents and always had a way to keep my attention when he spoke. Also, managed to keep my husband out all night for their chat sessions but always knew it was all good. He really was a good guy. Our truest condolences to all of you.

This world could not make a better brother, he has taught me
More than academia ever could; he taught me how to learn,
To believe, to stick to your opinions dispite peer pressure, social conditions, or political correctness. He taught me what justice really means, and how the world really isn't what it seems.
His work ethic is an inspiration, and his insightful explanation of how to balance kindness to the needful with shedding light on those feeling they deserve entitlement, was more valuable than so many years I spent in education. He taught me to survive, and see the world for what it is. He will of course continue to inspire me for the rest of my days.
