Whenever I entered a room and saw Wayne, I could not help but smile. He was that kind of guy. He was joyful, warm, gentle, and kind with a good dash (well, maybe more than a dash) of mischievousness mixed in. He could be a real hoot. My whole family was fond of him and Donna. It only seemed fitting that the puppet ministry team voted unanimously to name one of our original puppets after him so long ago. I have many joyful memories of singing in the Fairbrook UMC choir with him and Donna, working Ag Progress Days, performing the Living Last Supper, his smooth singing with the quartet...there are many others too numerous to list. His family and friends will miss him terribly beyond words. May we have joy in knowing that he has triumphed in his journey and joined his Lord and Savior whom he loved so much and served so diligently. May we find comfort in the knowledge that we will join him some day in the presence of Jesus. I pray Donna, Greg, and the rest of the family will find strength and peace through the support of caring friends and the promises of our loving God.
