Obituary of Mary Prasse

Mary Lee Prasse, 80, formerly of Morganton, NC, died Friday February 6, 2015 at Foxdale Village. She was born February 25, 1934 in Marshalltown, IA, the daughter of the late Lyle E. and Doris Flitton Eige. She is survived by a daughter Lee Prasse King and her husband Michael of Boalsburg and two grandchildren Rick and Chelsea King. She is also survived by her brother John Eige and his wife Marty of San Jose, CA. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter Laura L. Siebert. Mary Lee attended the Iowa State University where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority. She met and subsequently married Rick Prasse who remained the love of her life. She was a homemaker in the truest sense of the word. In the middle of her life she rekindled her love of horses and was an avid horsewoman for the remainder of her life. She leaves a legacy of generosity, strength and resilience to her family and many lifelong friends. Remembrance of her life will be private.
