Obituary of Sylvia SchwartZ

Sylvia Schwartz, 94, of State College, died Friday, Dec. 3, 2010, at The Terrace at Brookline Village. Born March 4, 1916, in New York City, NY, she was the daughter of the late Hyman and Ida Mallet Paymer. Her husband, Abraham Schwartz, preceded her in death on February 4, 1984. She graduated from Hunter College, NYC. Sylvia was a member of Congregation Brit Shalom of State College. She is survived by her children, Ina Heafitz and her husband, Lewis, of Newton, Massachusettes, Susan S. Steinberg and her husband, Lewis, of State College and Margery Goldman and her husband, Gerald, of Claremont, CA. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Andrew Heafitz, Michael Steinberg, Naomi Steinberg, Rebecca Goldman, and Neil Goldman and one great-grandson, Ian Steinberg. Graveside services and burial will be held at the Riverside Cemetery in Saddle Brook, N.J. at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to Congregation Brit Shalom,620 E.
