Obituary of Ella Homan

Ella Homan, 89 of State College, died Sunday, December 5, 2010, at Mount Nittany Medical Center. Born February 8, 1921, in New Castle-Upon-Tyne, England, she was a daughter of the late John and Eliza Deighton Forbes. On October 23, 1946, she married Frederick E. Homan, who died July 2, 2008. She was also predeceased by a daughter, Marilyn Homan on October 9, 1995. She is survived by a niece, Karen A. King and her husband, Mark, of Battle Creek, Mich., two nephews, Karl Stashak and his son Luke, of State College, and Eric Stashak of Williamsport, and many cousins, nieces and nephews in England and the United States. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Boalsburg. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, December 8, 2010, at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, at Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Brent Book officiating. Burial will be in Boalsburg Cemetery.
