I adored Dr. Linker’s “History and the Visual Arts” class — what an original way to bring history alive. I’ve told many about this very course (1990 or 91). Today, a friend posted this book review, “How to force historians to use their eyes: book urges academics to 'take art more seriously'.” Included was this description: Princeton University's Theodore K. Rabb says more visual materials—not only written records—should be explored. Ha! Dr. Linker was a pioneer in this concept and will always be a beloved memory of Penn State for me. Godspeed distinguished Professor.

Dearest Anita,
Words are inadequate to express our sense of loss at learning so late of Ron's passing in 2015. We have been living in Portland Oregon for the past 4 years. We will try to call you. Sandra and Leslie share our thoughts of loss and affection. This brilliant man will be greatly missed by all those who were burnished by his presence.
With our love
Victoria and Glyn
