Much love and heartfelt prayers to you, Aunt Jeannie, and to the whole family. I've always dearly loved Uncle Russell. I have fond memories of the terrific letters he used to send our family, carefully typed, well written, and full of funny anecdotes. It was always a good day when we got one - something we would share and read aloud. And when we all got together, everyone would be laughing and having a great time: my parents were happy, and Jo and Vic and I were, too. It's no small thing to make people laugh, and Uncle Russell did that in spades. At the same time, he was very obviously a man of depth, intelligence and insight. Moreover, he had the integrity and strength of character to step into my dad's life after his own father died. Dad always says, with fondness and tenderness, that Uncle Russell was like a father to him, and that he taught him so much. I credit my dad's good character, in large part, to Uncle Russell. May he rest in peace and greet us all again in heaven!
