Obituary of M. Timothy Fiume
M. Timothy Fiume, 65, of Centre Hall, formerly of Boalsburg, died Sunday, May 10, 2015 at Hearthside Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Born November 8, 1949 in Camden, New Jersey, he was the son of Michael G. and Margaret (Hollis) Fiume. Tim married the former Deborah Dziedzic, on May 3, 1980 in Eisenhower Chapel at Penn State University.
Tim is survived by his wife of 35 years, Deborah Fiume of Centre Hall.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Tim earned his bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees from Penn State University.
He was an assistant professor of Educational Theory and Policy Study at Penn State University Altoona and later at Penn State University, Main Campus before his retirement in 2012.
Tim was a member of Phi Delta Kappan International and Pi Lambda Theta Educational Associations. He was also a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.
He enjoyed reading and traveling.
Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2015 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton Street, State College.
Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Westerly Pkwy, State College.
Burial will be in Pine Hall Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be directed to Centre County PAWS, 1401 Trout Rd, State College, PA 16801, in memory of M. Timothy Fiume.
