Obituary of Eleanor Ann Jocuns
Eleanor Ann (Radzanowski) Jocuns
Age71, of Boalsburg, PA, passed away on Saturday, November 7, 2015, surrounded by her family at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College.
Eleanor is the beloved wife of 46 years (married on October 4, 1969) of Bernard Anthony Jocuns. She was born in Pittsburgh on October 31, 1944, the daughter of the late Andrew and Helen (Hucko) Radzanowski. Dear mother of Bernard A Jocuns, Jr (Elaine Gates-Jocuns) of Lapeer, Michigan, Andrew A. Jocuns (Kamolwan Pui Fairee) of Bangkok, Thailand, and Samuel A. Jocuns (Kristy Ochkie) of Castle Shannon, precious granddaughter Cassie Jocuns of Holland, Michigan. Eleanor is also survived by her sister, Audrey Szot of Bethel Park, niece Helen (Chuck, Jr.) McGervey of Bethel Park, and nephews John (Andraya) Szot of Shakopee, Minnesota, Ken Balach (Gina Malloy) of Brentwood. She was also preceded in death by a niece, Claudia Balach, of Brentwood. She was very close to her great nephews and niece Chuck III (Elizabeth) McGervey of Greenwood, IN, Matthew McGervey of Bethel Park, John, Jr, Collin and Mackenzie Szot of Shakopee, MN.
Eleanor was a 1962 graduate of St. Adalbert High School, Pittsburgh.
She retired in 2008 after 16 years at The Pennsylvania State University's World Campus.
She was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, State College.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2015 at St. Sylvester Parish, 3754 Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, PA. Interment will be at St. Casimir Cemetery, Pittsburgh.
