I am so sorry to read of your tragic loss. May you all find comfort in family and friends at this most difficult times. The Bible gives hope that soon our Creator, Jehovah God will end all suffering, sickness, pain, and even death, no longer having to bury our loved ones (Revelation 21:4)

Dear Young family members,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Dave! He was a wonderful, kind and loving man! I think he enjoyed his short stay at the Village and will be missed terribly!
We enjoyed some good chats about how he was working on photos and his knowledge of computers!
My sincere condolences and if there is anything I can do to assist with what needs done at the Village, please feel free to contact me!
Kind regards,
Kim

Thoughts and prayers coming from the Penn and Stanton family in Maryland. The Stantons will always remember the laughs shared at Park Forest pool. Mark fondly remembers the shenanigans growing up that your dad and Vince would get themselves into. Mark and I looked forward to the yearly Xmas Eve get togethers and the rendition of the 12 days of Xmas! We know there is now a huge hole in all of your hearts but please find peace and stay strong for each other at this difficult time. We are all sending our love to you.

Grill, Ron & Mary posted a condolence
Monday, February 8, 2016
Dear Ann, Krista and David: I write this as an old neighbor, long time family friend and someone who can attest to your dad’s strong character. Our families lived only about four houses apart during your formative years so we had a lot of direct contact. You were a close family and an active part of the neighborhood. Over the years, however, the distance between us increased significantly but we still kept in contact -- with you mainly through information shared by your folks.
Mary and I called your dad during the Christmas holidays just a few weeks ago. He still spoke fondly of each of you with your individual characteristics, idiosyncrasies and accomplishments. You were fortunate to have to have him in your life as a father. I hope you share his values and will follow his example to stay supportive of each other through these difficult times and lean on each other for support through similar future challenges that you will face. Family harmony and support is so important.
Stay true to each other – love you all, Mary and Ron Grill

My condolences to Dave's family. I share your sadness, him and I became good pals after he was not able to drive and used the Village transportation. We shared fun stories about our families, we had a few serious talks as well. Most of those were how he loved his children and grandchildren, but how he missed his wife. He was a great man, and I will miss his sense of humor and his smiling face. Hugs to all of you, he will be missed at the Village.

Ann, Krista, David -
Please know our thoughts are with at this time. No matter how old we get, no one is ever prepared for the loss of a parent.
I have very fond memories of your father telling me how hard he had it in the Navy - having to layout and sun on the deck of the ship - as I was getting ready to leave for Basic Training for the Army.

I am shocked by the sad news of Dave's passing. Just before I left for Florida on January 30, I talked with Dave in the dining room. He was not even using his oxygen.
I met Dave at The Village and ate with him often as we both would arrive at 6:15; this was considered "late" about which we always laughed. I enjoyed hearing about his family and saw him at dinner with his grandchildren many times. He reported how they loved to have creamery ice cream with him at The Village.
My condolences to all his family; you have lost a fine father and grandfather.
