Brother Morgan was special to me and my Mom. I have many memories from growing up and spending time in his homes. From being babysat by Josephine to days at Springfield and many other locations the Morgans, with Lewis in the lead, were a part of my childhood and I was fortunate to benefit from his graciousness.
My sincerest condolences to Josephine, Angela and Robert.

To Aunt Josephine, Cousin Bobby and Cousin Angela:
I so regret that the challenges that I am encountering right now prevent me from being there with you guys at a time such as now. However, know that I am upholding you all in prayer and I express my sincere condolences to all of you. One thing that gives me comfort and peace is that while we will miss “Uncle Morgan” on this side we will see him again at the resurrection never to be separated again.
Some of the things about Lewis J. Morgan Jr., affectionately called by us “Uncle Morgan” that I hold dear are his ability to keep us laughing as he shared the many stories about events with us when we were children. Events with he and Aunt Josephine, Bobby & Angela, Stories with Danny Jr, Gloria, Susie , Jeffrey & Bryant and with our mom and dad, stories with Aunt Mary, Cousin Thema and don’t forget Aunt Laura and so many others. He always us kept us laughing but connected with things we were too young to remember; He was our only uncle that we could talk to concerning the Bible and those are moments we will cherish forever. He brought to live all the memories of the fun times we shared together and they will warm our hearts forever.
With Heartfelt Sympathy From: Elders Clarence & Gloria Cunny, Tarrell & Carmella, Cunny, Rev.Susie Elliott, Jeffrey & Vanessa Elliott, and Bryant & Cassandra Elliott

We want to express our sympathy and let you know that our thoughts are with you.
A person that departs from this earth never truly leaves, for they are still alive in our hearts, through us, they live on.
Angela, your dad was loved by his family and friends and I believe that God will accept him with open arms for all the good he has done while he was on this earth.
May his soul rest in peace

I have so many loving memories of you in my life, I wish we had remained closer in my adult life. But you was one of the people who told me to follow my dreams and live my life, see what the world has to offer. Like you and from you I have a love of God and photography. To you my aunt Phine, my cousins Robert and Angela, I am truly sorry that the Lord has taken him so soon, I miss you all and pray for each one of you daily. Love with all my heart...

Lewis was a great friend, who always was willing to share his meals and potlucks. He also was a good cook and host, His love for the Bible led him to become a great teacher. He will be missed for the short time until Christ comes.

We all will certainly miss Lewis and his dedication to ministry. He is a great person and I always enjoyed the times when we were together at ministerial meetings. I look forward to the great reunion when all who have fallen in service to our Lord will rise to meet Him in the skies and travel with Him through the heavens that we can only now admire from a distance. What a fellowship awaits all God's children when He comes.
May God's great comfort bless and keep you all.

Dear Josephine and Family,
We are saddened to hear of Lewis' passing. He was such a fine, steady, and kind man of God. His devotion to God and to you Josephine was admirable and certainly a wonderful example to all who were privileged to know him. We know that he will be there on resurrection day and spend eternity with Jesus and you, Josephine. It was an honor to have known him. May the Father of mercies and God of all comfort be very real to you and all of your loved ones during this extremely difficult passage of life.
Hid in Him,

It is such a privilege and honor to know Lewis and work alongside him here in the PA Conference. He was dedicated to the Lord and faithfully carried forth the ministry of being a voluntary lay pastor, even traveling many miles each Sabbath to lead out in the churches in his care. His spirit and attitude was so positive and affirming. And his contributions at camp meeting alongside all the other pastors as part of the team was truly a pleasure. May we follow in his example of trusting in Jesus and looking forward with joy to His soon return and the promised blessing of the resurrection of the saints.
