My deepest condolences to Lu's wife, friends and family. I am an old HAHS classmate of Lucy's. I did not know her well, although we probably were in every single class together the whole way though school. Such is high school. However, several years ago she helped a friend of mine who was in dire need of services. I will always be grateful for this. ....I did want to send my thoughts and prayers along to all of her survivors, even though we have never met.

It has been many years since I have seen Lucy, growing up near her an her parents, delivering newspapers to them... riding the school bus too. I have such wonderful memories of a wonderful family. Prayers for you and Elsie..

Lu was a fabulous coworker who thought only of others. She was always there to answer my questions no matter how silly or of the wall they were and I could see that she worked at the Borough with great professionalism. In my few interactions with Lu in a social setting, I could also see that she knew how to have a good time. I would like to send my sincere condolences to her family and those that provided support to her in her time of need. I will always remember Lu with a smile on her face.

Lu was such a good and compassionate person. She will continue to be a guiding force in my life. I often ask myself, "What would Lu do?" I know I can never go wrong following her example.

Lu was a tremendous mentor for all who worked with her. She always had a smile and some word of encouragement for everyone who approached her. She was incredibly devoted to what she did, and worked tirelessly but quietly to see that things got done. Lu's death is a huge loss to the Borough and all who knew her. She will be missed greatly.

Lighting a candle for Lu symbolizes the light that she was in the world. I have worked with many dedicated people over the years. Lu was among the very most dedicated to serving the Centre County community. She was helpful to me in ways too numerous to list here. I also know how dedicated she was to her Mom and to Kathy. Lu was a caring and supportive woman who will be sorely missed.

In my adult years, so far, I've not come by many folks as loyal to me professionally as my good friend, Lu. She did her job of showing me how to do my job while working at the (Borough) with care and patience. When I think of Lu, I will remember her laugh, love for her job (very detailed oriented), love for her mother and commitment to Kathy (and the farm animals) and her unwavering friendship.
