I didn't know Mr. Beward, but he seems like a really fun guy to know. I purchased one of his Transistor Radios yesterday (5/7/2021) at an Antique Shop in Pennsylvania. Inside the radio box there was a receipt with his name and a purchase date of 1959. I found this obituary and learned of all the cool things he did and who he was. So I printed it and will keep it with his radio which still works, so his memory will live on. He reminds me a lot of my late grandfather William Knauer Sr. I will cherish this radio as it seems Mr. Beward did. My condolences to the Beward family.
