Please accept my apologies for writing such a late condolence for Jack.
I will always remember Jack for being one of my life mentors. I've first met Jack early on in my Master's Program and took his Project Management course where I also met Rose Baker. He has been kind to me, supportive and encouraging throughout the years I've known him. We celebrated my college graduation and birthdays together. He was a kind and generous man who was selfless and treated others with upmost respect.
Most importantly, he was a good friend and a man of incredible wisdom. I consider him important in my life as much as my grandmother. He spoke of values from his generation that made much sense to me similar to how my grandmother taught me to conduct myself in a honorable and compassionate manner.
I will miss you dearly, Jack. My sympathies for the Gido Family.

Rosie, Steve and Jeff, words cannot express how sorry I am. Jack was such a huge part of my life (and so many others) while we were growing up. How blessed I feel to have the childhood we had on Polsin Drive. Countless memories of holidays shared, carnivals planned and celebrations for so many years. What a truly special man. Thinking of all of you and all of your family. xo

Dear Rosemary, I had the pleasure of being one of the fortunate people who worked with Jack at PSU. I was Director of Outreach at Penn State Hazleton ... a campus and town near and dear to his heart.
He was a true professional and a wonderful friend. Everyone in PSU Outreach, who worked with Jack or knew him, will agree we are better people for having him in our lives.
Please know that you, your family and Jack are in my thoughts and prayers.

Jack, one of the first people I met when I came to Penn State in 1992. Always supportive, always kind, always helpful, always cheerful. Dedicated to improving the lives of others through workforce and economic development. I was so privileged to know him and work with him while at Penn State. I was so proud to secure a copy of his text which I have to this day. So, please accept my deepest sympathy from a former colleague now in Colorado who sits here feeling sad about Jack's loss. Pat

I am so sorry to hear of your great loss. Recently I lost my dear mother,
and found great comfort in the Holy Bible, like at Isaiah 25 verse 8 -
"The Sovereign Lord will swallow up death forever, and wipe away
the tears from all faces." Also at Revelation 21 verse 4, we find
God's promise to remove both pain and death. For more comfort,
I turn to the website at: www.jw.org (Search: Comfort)

Rosemary and family, I am so sorry to learn of your loss of Jack. I was very fortunate to have worked for this gentle, compassionate man during the beginning of my career at GE. When I was pregnant with my first child, Jack brought me home to have a "jello" lunch with you and one of your boys to celebrate my big event! Thoughtful, supportive man I am glad to have met! My thoughts and prayers to you all! "No one ever really leaves us as long as they took the time to give us fond memories!"

So sorry to read of Jack's death. My late wife and I enjoyed his and Rosemary's company in the old St, John's days. We had a lot of fun in a short window of time. I'll never forget shopping with him for a joke birthday gift for Rosemary and can picture one of the boys and my daughter, Sara at First Communion. Having had a loved one die of cancer, I particularly feel for the wonderful family that he so loved.
Sincerely, Rich

I am sorry, Rosemary. Not only was Jack honest and hard working, he was such a gentleman. I never heard him say a bad word about anyone. And gentle. I consider myself lucky that we were friends. I am sure you know that he was 'a good guy'. Take care, Paul
