I had John as my 9th grade science teacher and helped him with his Boy Scout entrepreneur classes. I also remember that if you saw John you always saw John John with him. He was a fine, fine man.

Dear Betta,
Please accept our deepest sympathy and prayers. We will often think of how effective and gracious John was as a school principal and father to John-John.
Thinking of you,

Betta, John was, and always will be a beacon in my life. Our work together in Scouting form some of my best memories. May the Lord bless you in this time of grief, and uphold you with the knowledge that John was always close to Him, and is now even closer. (ahota). ><>biff

John offered me one of the most sincere and warm welcomes when I first arrived to State College in 2001, and that graciousness and class continued throughout our acquaintance in Scouting. He took on challenging tasks for the good of central Pennsylvania youth, investing himself into the work as if he was under payload contract to do it. John and John II made important contributions to our Scouting community, and their legacy will continue beyond their earthly presence.
