Obituary of Lisa Ann Sampsell
Lisa Ann Sampsell, 43, of State College, died Thursday, July 6, 2017, at home, surrounded by her loving family and partner.
Born September 5, 1973, in State College, she was the daughter of the late James W. Sampsell and Beverly (Leathers) Sampsell, who survives.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her partner, Dr. Thomas Argondizza; her sister, Kirsten A. Sampsell and her husband, Jose Luis Mijangos, of San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapas, Mexico; three nephews, Alejandro Nicolas, Benjamin Andre and Gabriel Luis; as well as her Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, Nico.
Lisa was a 1992 graduate of State College Area High School's Delta Program. She received a Bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University in 2005.
Since 2006 she was employed at Penn State; most recently as a Record Specialist in Penn State Global Programs.
She studied Holistic Life Coaching at Mount Nittany Institute of Natural Health.
Lisa was a kind and gentle soul who brought joy to the hearts of her wide circle of friends. She was a lover of animals, a gifted photographer and a great appreciator of music.
A celebration of life will be held at 6:30pm, on Thursday, July 13th at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, 780 Waupelani Dr, State College, with Annie Mascelli officiating.
