Lou was a bringer of profound encouragement each time that I met him, and exuded an effervescence of wisdom, life and humour whenever I was in his company.
Despite our limited meetings and age difference (53 years) he always made me feel like he was my best friend whenever we met.
Meals out and drives in the stunning Center County countryside with Rob, were some of the happiest times, and are treasures that I get to keep with me, that I now seek to share - as Lou did – with those that I encounter. I am thankful that Lou shared the love of Christ through his life. Oh, and he taught me pinochle so well, that once, only once I was placed first ahead of him and Rob, but every other time I was swept away by both the senior and junior Folens.

LOVE, hope, and purity, for the purest, most selfless love that I have ever known in the Nobel Folen men.

A 21-gun salute to my Dear Uncle Lou, for his service to our country and to the beautiful progeny of hope, deep love, and goodness he left behind in his sons.
Thank you, Dear Lord, for Aunt Jane and Uncle Lou finding each other; this union hath created the most benevolent, loving, and Nobelist of men!
Robbie and Mike, you two are all I have left of my father. I never want to lose contact with you both.
Love FOREVER,
Regina

Our thoughts, prayers and condolences are with the Folen Family. We were fortunate to have been able to spend many wonderful times with your dad during times together on Oak Terrace. Whether we were watching the Eagles game on TV or getting together with neighbors Lou was enjoyable, appreciative, thoughtful and interesting. We are fortunate that we had the opportunity to get to know him.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. God blessed your Dad with a long life, but there will always be a vacant place that no one else can fill. We are so happy you will see him again.

Lou is my Uncle. My Dad is Leonard Xavier. Some of my most fond memories are spending time with my Dad and my Uncles playing pool in Uncle Vince's basement. The brothers loved one another and it was infectious. Uncle Lou was part of those great memories! May God keep him in His Kingdom. Bob Folen
