Obituary of Lee Ann Marshall
Lee A. Marshall, 58, of Boalsburg, died Thursday, September 21, 2017.
Born June 10, 1959, in Grand Forks, ND, she was the daughter of Craig and Maxine Millar, of State College.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by two children, Madeline Marshall of Boalsburg and Andrew Marshall of Park City, UT; two brothers, Bill Millar and his partner, Mark Speight of Taos, NM and Alex Millar and his family of New York City.
Lee graduated in 1977 from State College Area High School. She attended Penn State University and Hartnell College. She lived and worked during the 1980's in Salinas, CA and for the Gannett Corporation in New Jersey. In the mid-nineties, she and her family moved back to State College. She was a caring mother, loyal friend, and always made time to lend an ear and an open heart.
For the past two years, she worked with student organizations at the HUB-Robeson Center in the Office of Student Affairs at Penn State University. Prior to that she found great joy as a Teacher's Aid at Our Lady of Victory Catholic School for fourteen years. Lee touched the lives of friends, students, teachers and colleagues over the years, and will be greatly missed by many.
She was an active member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church as well as the State College community.
A Memorial service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 27, 2017, at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 820 Easterly Parkway, State College. A celebration of Lee's life will be held at Mountain View, formerly the Elks Club, from 5:00 to 7:00pm on Thursday September 28.
Her family asks that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to Our Lady of Victory Catholic School Lee A. Marshall Scholarship for children in need.
Arrangements are under the care of Koch Funeral Home, State College. Online condolences and signing of the guest book may be entered at www.kochfuneralhome.com or visit us on facebook.
