Obituary of Marilyn J. Jordan
Marilyn J. Jordan, 80, of State College, died Tuesday, November 28, 2017, peacefully at home.
Born January 11, 1937, in State College, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Esther Krumrine James. On March 13, 1965 she married Edward Philip Jordan who preceded her in death on December 15, 2014.
She is survived by three children, Steven J. Uber and his wife, Brenda, Cynthia J. Uber and her partner, Cris Poole, Wendy S. Brate and her husband, Thomas; three step-children, Edward P. Jordan, Ronald A. Jordan and his wife, Kim and Timothy A. Jordan and his wife, Jill; one brother, Robert James; seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Marilyn was a 1954 graduate of State College High School. She graduated from the Geisinger Nursing School in 1957.
She was employed as a Registered Nurse for Dr. Parks, in State College, for many years. Later she was employed at the Thompkins Community Hospital and two Oral Surgical offices in Ithaca for twenty-five years, retiring in 1999.
She was a member of the State College Lions Club. Marilyn was also a member of the Power Squadron where she enjoyed boating and water skiing. She also enjoyed gardening, visiting the ocean and beach front, dining at the Waffle Shop and traveling.
Visitation will be from 1 until 3 p.m., on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at Koch funeral home, 2401 South Atherton Street, State College. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m., at the funeral home with the Reverend Ann Graves officiating.
Burial will be in Centre County Memorial Park.
