My deepest condolences to Jan, the entire Holland family and close friends. Lois was just awesome. I feel so lucky to have known and spent time with her and Jan. Times like these seems so unreal and unfair, but I am sure Lois is in a much better place now and with her loved ones who predeceased her and of whom she spoke fondly.
Forever engraved in my mind are all the springtimes I witnessed her army of seedlings which, in the end, she happily gave away to those who could give them good garden homes. We exchanged plants and produce over the years, and Lois taught me that creamed corn did not have to taste like the stuff from a can that I gagged on as a kid - her creamed corn was incredible and I learned from her how to make it myself.
I cherish our many evenings of the healing group that Lois hosted with Jan, and their many kindnesses and support to me over the years - from my wedding and through my legal case... through the ups and downs of life over the past 15+ years.... and so I can only imagine how much more precious Lois is to all of you who have known her much longer or for your lifetimes. Lois and Jan made a really great team. She will be sorely missed. I share in your sorrow at this time, but remain grateful that my life was graced by Lois.
