I would like to express my deepest sympathy for the loss you have suffered! Please know that God is a God of all comfort and he will be there for you during this time! (2 Corinthians 1:3,4) Psalms 34:18 tells us that God is close to the broken-hearted and he saves those crushed in spirit. Yes, God truly cares for you! Go to him in prayer and he will provide you with "the peace of God that surpasses all understanding " - Philippians 4:6,7. Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who exercises faith in me, even though he dies, will come to life." -John 11:25. Yes, God truly cares about us and Jesus tells us we will see our loved ones again! I hope this brings you a measure of comfort as you endure this most difficult time.

I have plenty of fond memories of "Pappy," most of the recent ones centered aorund the time I spent at camp during season. Typically Pappy would greet me with a big smile and hand shake, followed by "Hello Tweetie Bird, how are things in Virginia?" I remember after the swimming pool was finished, spending many afternoons and early evenings enjoying it. Going back further, Roy's wife, Donna, was my Cub Scout leader and we went up to the camp to experience the great outdoors and work on our achievements for merit badges, and Pappy was there to help out. He often talked about golf, Rockview, PSU sports and the Pirates and Steelers. He was above all, a very good friend!
My thoughts and prayers are with the entire family during this difficult time, and pray that as each day passes, the pain slowly subsides. On behalf of the entire Harpster family, know that we share your loss and we extend our deepest sympathy to each of you.

I was saddened to hear that Roy passed on to be with all his family and friends above.
My late husband, Jim, first introduced me to Roy back when Pappy Ellenberger was the coach on his Over Thirty-Five team (it could have been Over Forty-five by that time, I don't quite remember.) But I didn't get to actually know Pappy until he joined our church choir. Roy was funny in a quirky way, being quiet but giving you that look after making some remarks, and we would take a second or two before we got it! The choir has and will miss him very much.
I'm sure he will be singing strong and playing hard on the teams in heaven, right along with my husband. We will some day all be singing and playing with them.

"Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning. And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." (Isaiah 26:19) This prophecy tells us that one day we will see our dead loved ones again in a new world! Please seek Jehovah God to see his promises fulfilled.....
