Obituary of The Reverend Robert Lee Rohrbaugh

The Reverend Robert Lee "Bob" Rohrbaugh, 83, of Boalsburg, died Sunday, January 14, 2018, at home. Born March 5, 1934, in York, he was the son of the late Lloyd D. and Anna Miller Rohrbaugh. On May 31, 1958 he married Carola Machetzki, who survives. Also surviving are four children, David Rohrbaugh and his wife, Martha, of Ellicott City, MD, Daneen O'Donnell and her husband, Kevin, of Butler, Shaun Rohrbaugh and his wife, Donna Marie, of Pottsville and Paul Rohrbaugh of Maple Valley, WA; a brother, James Rohrbaugh and his wife, Charlene, of Willow Grove; ten grandchildren, Leanne, Jonathan and his wife, Melissa, Douglas, Monica, Landon, Bryan, Mason, Megan, Aubrey and Ansley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Annabel Shubert and a brother, Jacque Rohrbaugh. He was a 1956 graduate of Gettysburg College and a 1960 graduate of Gettysburg Seminary. He was the Pastor at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Pine Grove Mills for 39 years. He also served at Gatesburg Lutheran Church in Warriors Mark, St. Stephen Lutheran Church in McAlevys Fort and served as Vice Pastor at Zion Lutheran Church in Boalsburg. He enjoyed piloting a small airplane, furniture building and driving bus for Fullington Auto Bus Company. A reception of friends will be held from 6 until 8 p.m., on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Koch Funeral Home, 2401 S. Atherton St., State College. The family will also receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m., on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 277 West Pine Grove Road, Pine Grove Mills. Funeral service will follow at 11 a.m., at the church with the Reverend Paul Tomkiel and the Reverend Brent Book officiating.
