My grandmother taught me so much. She taught me to garden, to cook, to preserve food. She taught me to laugh often and love family deeply. Most recently she was able to teach me that my brother is a hero to me. I’m beyond thankful he was able to care for her and love her into her final days with my sister in law and my aunt. I’m forever grateful to my grandma for so many beautiful childhood memories at the fair, in the camper, in her garden. Grateful she and Pap made it to my college graduation, wedding and to see Maya all the way in Oregon. I’m most thankful she was able to show me my brother as the compassionate, kind man I know him to be. I will miss her deeply.
