It is with a very heavy heart that I write this note and share my memories. I consider Rick to be one my dearest friends, mentors and a man that I could always count on. My memories are vivid, countless and will always give me the grace to reflect and find strength in. Rick was known in my household as the “candy man” as the neighborhood kids could always count on Mr. Adams swinging by with some sweet treats. My kids, who love him dearly, were blessed to have he and Joyce as neighbors but so much more than that. You all are family and maintain bonds that will last a lifetime. Joyce, Jen & Jeff, Jeff & Jane, my heartfelt condolences to you all. Rick was a special man and I thank you for sharing him with so many but especially with me.
