I met Zanne only once, when my then-husband and I toured her home and then bought it in Autumn, 1997. I've loved living in my and her home ever since. The obituary mentioned the orchid room in the basement, and it's still here though no longer used for growing beautiful plants. Much about the house is changed now but some reminders remain, like the bedroom door knocker engraved, "Dick" and one of the Stewartias that has grown quite tall in the last 23 years. I invite Zanne's family to come see their childhood home. You'll remember where it is and you can stop by. Leave a note if I'm not home. I'm sorry for your loss. --Anne Hoag
