We were privileged to know Carolyn Glick . Her gifted husband , Charles, worked with Kelly Swick at US Steel Research Lab in Monroeville , PA. We visited back and forth , while they lived in Murrysville , Pa., for about 25 years , and then a few times after they moved to West Virginia.
Fond memories recall her practical demeanor .
She was progressive and intelligent , with humility. Her skill
In home -making, stewardship , devotion and support of her family , and culinary skill ( always seasonally fresh ), simple elegance in entertaining , was on par with the best .
She enjoyed the outdoors and was appreciative of all the seasons variations in the wooded areas of her homes.
Although she did not drive , her world was not constricted , because she was an avid reader , and looked aside from that world to her old friend, Mother Nature.
She will be missed greatly , but is now in complete harmony with the spiritual ( heaven) & natural world , which she cherished. She and her husband , Charles’ , only son David, carries on their legacies.
Love,
Jean B.& Nancy Swick
