I played tennis with Cathy at Penn State. At that time, I knew her Mom as "Mrs. Kissell". I remember her as a very kind, generous, and warm lady who supported all of us on the team. My condolences to Cathy and all her family.

Trish and family,
My deep sympathies on the loss of your mother. I recall many conversations about how much she influenced your life and your values. Reading the obituary here, I can see she certainly led a rich and full life herself. Your children are blessed that she was a big part of their lives as well.

Edie was a wonderful friend whom I knew for many years when Kathy was growing up. She was devoted to her children and grandchildren, her faith and community. She and I watched our daughters play many tennis matches, met for coffee and enjoyed one another’s company. She was one determined lady who ran a tight ship but one who lived life fully and enjoyed deep conversations. She was not one to complain and willingly gave to others. I last saw Edie after she was married to Lou and had the pleasure of meeting Lou. I am thankful that he came into her life and know she was very happy with him. I value the time I spent with Edie and was proud to be her friend.
I send my prayers, condolences and love to Kathy, Trish, Dominic, Desiree, and Lou. May the many memories of all that you and Edie shared provide comfort at this time and always.
Much love to all of you - Ann Kochenberger, Denver, CO

Edie was a wonderful lady and a dear friend. Have known Edie for 45 years. I will always remember her Christmas tree ornaments and the meaning of each one.
I know her and Lou spent many wonderful years together, they don’t come any better than Lou & Edie Berrena.
May you Rest In Peace Edie.
God bless the family and my dear friend Lou.

Mr Berrena and all of Edie’s family. We are sorry to read of Edie’s passing. I didn’t know her well but she impressed me as one classy lady. You are all in our thoughts at this difficult time.

I remember the Penn State football tailgates. Oh, did she love them! From the ton of food, including the "chicken planks" from Long John Silver's (oh so good!) to the seemingly mile long bar. It had to be one of the largest tailgates of that time. Hundreds of family, friends and their friends. I surely have missed them! God Bless!

A most wonder woman I ever met. Edie was always kind and generous.
I knew her as a customer of Custom Alterations, but she and Lou were never apart.
A loving and dear couple. She will be greatly missed on this earth
