Dr. Tom introduced me to Turfgrass Science (as he did so many other students). I was fortunate to have been chosen as his first research technician. Tom remained my mentor over the decades and the insights he gave me I put to frequent use over my 41+ year career. Dr. Tom possessed a keen intellect and an uncanny ability to sort out complex problems in he field. Thank you, Dr. Tom for enabling so many of us to excel in the green industry.
